| Ferrari dominated proceedings yesterday with Felipe Massa ending the afternoon session almost a second clear of team-mate Kimi Raikkonen who in turn was a comfortable four-tenths clear of Heikki Kovalainen in the McLaren. Massa’s best lap of the day was a 1:31.420s. |

| Lewis Hamilton was fourth fastest in the second McLaren, but crashed out of the afternoon session after running wide at turn seven. The car will have been rebuilt overnight and like everyone else, will now be fitted with the race engine and gearbox. |
